A KiweePod is whatever you imagine it to be.

Its a rocket ship zooming you into space, its a cave to curl up with a cuppa and a book, its a jungle hideaway, its a mermaid shell, or cover it in fairy lights and its a Christmas tree.

The KiweePod has been designed by Architect Peter Eising, based on his award winning and world famous Treehouse, designed for the Yellow Pages campaign in 2008.

Pete is passionate about imaginative childrens play, and has been working on developing a childrens treehouse based on the 'pod'. He came across the team at Thames Trusses at a market selling their Click Ply furniture. Thames Trusses worked their magic and further refined the 'pod' for cutting and construction efficiencies.

And so, with Thames Trusses, Pete and his daughter Sarah, KiweePod was formed, sparking imaginative play in children across New Zealand Aotearoa.

Currently the KiweePod is for imaginative indoor play only. Watch this space for the outdoor model.

The large KiweePod stands 2.2m tall, and 1.5m wide at the base, and allows for a child (or adult) to sit within it. Made from plywood this KiweePod is for indoor play. We are currently refining the outdoor model.

Care must be taken at all times when using the KiweePod. It is not designed for rough play or to be swung on.

The mini KiweePod stands 1.1m tall, and 0.75m wide at the base, which allows for a child (or adult) to sit at it but not within it. Made from plywood this KiweePod is not suitable for outdoor use.
